My Road to Damascus

This is my personal account of my first encounter with Jesus. The most turning point expeirence that I can no longer forget for the rest of my Life.

I found myself in the middle of nowhere where there was total darkness. I lost sight and direction.

Then suddenly, I heard a voice and asked me, “Why are you troubled, my child? “Then I asked, “Who are you, my Lord?” Then He replied, I’ve been your friend for a long time. Since then, I have been following you. But you lost my grip and went in the opposite direction. My heart saddened but I know, you will find your way back to me.”

Then I realized that like Paul I am now on my way on the road to Damascus. And it is Jesus standing in front of me. I am trembled by His presence. He held my hand, helped me stand on my feet, and spoke. “Do not be troubled. From this day forward, you will never be alone in fighting your every battle.

My Letter to the Father ( Copied from my old blogsite dated March 2011)

 Dear God

    Since the beginning,

you have chosen me. You knit me properly from my mother's womb. you prepared me for an extraordinary purpose. You trained my hands like a skillful writer and set my mouth to speak your wisdom and instruction.

I have trusted your direction and walked according to your plan. I am totally dependent on you like a baby craving for milk. Your Love and mercy abound on me.

Yes. I delight myself in you. I was happy to stay in your presence. I have dined at your table and drank your wine. I have tasted your goodness. I feel deep satisfaction with you.

BUT... I have set my feet on slippery ground when I started to trust my emotions. I gave in to my earthly desire and forgot my calling as a soldier. My flesh is crying out for justice. I fought with my enemies like a man of no wisdom. I was found alone on the battlefield, with a heavy heart and crushed. I heard my enemies shouting to rejoice at my defeat.

I am alone. lost in purpose. Like a sheep ready to be slaughtered. I remember your comfort, Lord. I want to go back to my father like a prodigal son. I know my Lord will not abandon me to the grave. Will you give me a second chance?

Winning the Battle

One of the best lessons that I learned from my past battles is that, when you are confronted by your enemies, the best weapon to fight against them is HUMILITY. I ended the battle and emerged victorious.

To God be the Glory!

Choosing The Right Battle

“LOVE YOUR ENEMIES AND PRAY FOR THEM”
This is the word of God that confronted me this morning.
I closed my book and hardly cried, “ Oh, God why you are so unfair?”
My flesh is crying out for justice.
But the Holy Spirit comforted me and said, “My child, I loved you, and I cared for you. Let go of the battle that is not worth fighting.”
As a “BORN AGAIN CHRISTIANS” we have the seal of the Holy Spirit, and we are born fighters.
But for any battle that does not glorify the Lord is not worth our time, energy, and effort.
“Let the battle be mine,” and so I submit to Him in full obedience.

Reflection from the movie "Aladdin"

Watching a movie entitled “Aladdin,” I am amazed by the lesson that the story entails to its viewers. Remembering the part of the conversation between Aladdin and the Genie questioning him why he was only granted with only 3 wishes. The Genie replied “I don’t know. “Alladin enforced the question asking, “Why you don’t know? You said you are all-knowing.” Then Genie replied “I don’t say that I am all-knowing. I just said I am all-powerful. The most powerful being in the universe.”

I witnessed the part when Jafar fell due to too much hunger for fame and power putting himself into destruction.

Remember Solomon when he was given a chance by the Lord to ask for a wish? He can ask the same thing too. But He chooses wisdom. And for me, that was the right decision to make.

Choosing wisdom over money, fame, and power is the right decision that the person must ask from the Lord. Because without wisdom, no matter how long you invest in that effort, power, or anything that you have now, it will never succeed.
